Dear Mr.
Thomas:
Recently there was a
water line break on the second floor of our business premises. As
a result there was extensive flooding and damage to the ceilings
walls and some equipment and fixtures. Our first call was to our
agent, Dave Vitto at Schlemmer Insurance Agency. Dave’s response
and immediate action in getting the right people on the job within
a short period of time not only prevented further damage but also
was immensely helpful in getting the clean up started and allowing
us to reopen the following day. We are grateful for his quick and
decisive action.
Liberty Home Contractors,
Inc. was retained to do the repairs and reconstruction. Liberty
was on-site immediately to assess the situation, do emergency repairs,
formulate a plan of action and coordinate the process. The Liberty
team, and especially the project supervisor, Rich Simon, was superb
in the manner in which they aggressively pursued their plan. Mr.
Simon quickly assessed that they needed to focus their actions on
containing the damage to the drywall ceiling in the main salon area
in order to prevent, if possible, the replacement of the entire
ceiling. If the ceiling had to be replaced, since it is a large
area with a number of work stations that would have to be moved,
it would have been necessary to shut down our operations for at
least a week for the repairs. Because of his quick thinking and
aggressive plan, the ceiling was saved and we did not miss a day
of the operations. Not only did he save us thousands of dollars
in lost revenues, he also saved State Auto a significant sum in
the repair cost.
Also, Liberty, in my
opinion, in doing the necessary repairs, went out of their way
to accommodate our business needs. We are closed on Mondays so Liberty
made arrangements
to do most of the repairs on Mondays so as not to inconvenience
the normal operations of the business. Again, we were able to operate
without any business interruption. Liberty’s employees were
extremely courteous and accommodating regarding our particular business
needs. One of our massage rooms was pretty much destroyed by the
water, and since it is an income producing area, I asked Mr. Simon
if he could do that room first. His crew had the room back to its
original shape in just a few days.
We are very satisfied
with the quality of the repairs and reconstruction done by Liberty
and Ichiban is back to normal. Thanks to the efforts of all of the
above parties, we never lost a day of work and got through the event
with a minimum of inconvenience. In the future, I would highly recommend
any of the above parties to any one who is in need of similar services.
Especially with respect to Liberty. Their professionalism and expertise
in managing this potentially disastrous situation saved Ichiban
and its employee’s significant monies as well as providing
us as business owners’ peace of mind throughout this stressful
event.
